We had a very busy Christmas season this year! We made a list at the beginning of the month of all the things we wanted to do during December, and other than 'build a snowman' (which we couldn't do since it hasn't snowed yet!), we did everything on our list! The goal was to do something related to Christmas or winter every day. So, here's a recap of some of the more memorable moments...
Here's our 'list'. Every time we did something, we'd clip it to the number of the day we did it.
We bought our biggest Christmas tree ever (9 feet!), decorated it, and hung lights up outside
(December 3rd & 4th).
Here, you can compare the size of the tree with the size of Jack (just disregard his scary face, he can't just be normal for a picture ...hopefully it's just a stage or he's going to have a pretty wild wedding album!)
We went to Hadleigh's Christmas dance recital
(December 7th).
Scott & I went to an Ugly Sweater Christmas Party (December 10th).
We went to Landon's school sing-along, Hadleigh's school sing-in, and a Christmas party at our church
(December 16th).
Landon's in the green shirt, fourth from the left of the kids standing.
Hadleigh's in the headband with the white flower on top, third from the right in the back row.
The Christmas party was a Grinch/Whoville theme. They acted out the story of the Grinch while someone narrated it, and Jackson was completely enamored of the Grinch. He was following him around the whole time, just staring at him, so we finally asked him to take a few pics.
We went to 'Candlelight Christmas' at This is the Place Park (December 17th).
Riding on the train.
Writing our names on the Nice List.
Working at the print shop.
Visiting with Santa.
I love how Jack is holding Santa's hand. So cute!
If Mason looks unhappy in this picture, wait until you see the next one...
Hadleigh- age 10, Landon- age 6, Jackson- age 3, Mason- 5 months.
We built a chocolate rice crispy train
(December 18th).
We ate Thai food on Christmas Eve and then read The Night Before Christmas and opened one gift (pajamas).
We did the rest of our traditions on Christmas day (reading the story in Luke & reading The Littlest Angel because on Christmas Eve the boys were literally bouncing off the walls and my mom & Hadleigh weren't feeling well).
Christmas Morning.
We took Trax to Temple Square, where we ate dinner, looked at the lights, and walked around the Conference Center (December 30th).
