Last Tuesday, August 23rd, was Hadleigh's first day of 4th grade!
It's hard to believe that she is growing up so fast. So far, Hadleigh is enjoying her class and her new teacher. Already, the math coming home (it's on a 5th grade level) is almost over my head! We are so proud of Hadleigh and her love of life and learning:)
This Tuesday, August 30th, Landon started his first day of Kindergarten.
Seriously, where does the time go?? It seems like just yesterday, I was pregnant with Landon and Hadleigh was in preschool. Now, here they both are in Elementary school. Riding buses, having recess, making new friends...it's all so crazy!
So cute that Landon is holding Scott's hand as he waits his turn to go into the courtyard.
Scott and Landon contrived this haircut in the morning before we left for school.
Several teachers stood on either side of the courtyard entrance where they cheered & waved pom poms as each kindergartner walked through. Too cute!
Lining up to go into class...
The week before starting school, Hadleigh took her first unaccompanied flight to Washington D.C. to visit my mom for 8 days.
My mom planned so many fun things for Hadleigh to do. They went to some of the Smithsonian Museums, to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, to the American Girl Doll store (there are only 5 in the country) for shopping and lunch, to the National Zoo, out to eat at fun restaurants, and to the Kennedy Center to see 'Wicked' on Broadway. My mom eve arranged to have Hadleigh's hair fixed in a pretty updo for the evening of the play. Needless to say, Hadleigh and grandma both had a blast! Thank you mom for inviting Hadleigh on such a fun trip:)
