happy 30th scott!

Last week, Scott turned 30.

Although the day was kind of overshadowed by it being Landon's first day of Kindergarten, it actually turned out to be just the kind of day Scott enjoys.

Before the kids went off to school, they woke Scott up by singing 'happy birthday' and presenting him with this cute poster they made for him.

After taking Landon to school, Scott got to eat a breakfast of carrot cake muffins with cream cheese filling (Scott's favorite kind of cake turned into a muffin, I knew I couldn't go wrong), eggs and sausage.  I completely forgot to put a candle in the muffin and take a picture, as is our tradition.  Like I said, the first day of kindergarten kind of overshadowed everything.

Scott got to spend the rest of the afternoon opening gifts, relaxing and watching one of his favorite movies.  Later that evening, we went to dinner with Scott's mom, brother, and sister-in-law.  The highlight of the evening was definitely the cop (aka pig) glasses that Scott's mom gave him.

I know this may seem like a lame birthday to some, but for what its worth, all Scott wanted to do for his birthday was go diving (now that he's recently scuba certified, that's all he ever wants to do) :).  The dive place he wanted to go to was closed on Scott's actual birthday (go figure), but my gift to him was that I arranged for him and his best friend to have a whole day of diving two days later.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Scott!  We love you!!
