On Sunday, August 7, Mason was given a name and a blessing in our church. We were happy that so many friends and family members were able to join us for the occasion!
I put together a luncheon for everyone, way more last minute than I initially intended. The theme was bluebirds and the colors were brown, orange, lime green, turquoise, and sky blue -- all based on Mason's nursery decor. MANY thanks to my mom, my friend Kara, and my grandma Trish who all contributed their time and talents to helping everything come together so nicely- even if it meant staying up until 4am to do it!!
The quilt backdrop was a baby gift for Mason, designed and sewed by his grandma Debbie.
We ordered this adorable cake from Dippidee in American Fork.
When Mason was 4 weeks old (just a few days after his blessing), I took him for a small professional photo shoot to help out a neighbor who was just getting a photo studio started and wanted to train her employees using real babies. Mason definitely gave them a lot of practice because he was super fussy, but they still managed to get a few cute shots. The studio is now open in Lehi and they have really reasonable prices. It's called Camera Shy.
The first few shots are of Mason in his blessing outfit since I forgot to take any pics of that on the actual day...
More cute pics...
