Halloween was not just a day but a week-long event for us this year. By the time the 31st came, the kids had already dressed up for four different Halloween parties! We definitely got our money's worth on their costumes:)
On Friday the 24th, we went to a "Trunk-or-Treat" at our church parking lot. It is exactly what it sounds like, everyone parks their cars in the lot and stands by their trunk (which they have decorated for Halloween) while the kids walk from car to car saying "trick-or-treat". It was a little cold and rainy, but when candy is involved pretty much nothing will get my kids down.

On Wednesday, Landon got to wear his costume to preschool where they did some Halloween activities like stepping in white paint and then onto black paper (add some googly eyes and you have two cute white ghosts), and of course, ate candy.
Also, here is a cute pic from Landon's preschool field trip to the pumpkin patch a few weeks ago (Landon is in the nose)

On Friday, Hadleigh wore her costume to school where they had the annual Halloween Parade around the entire school followed by a party in her classroom.
That afternoon, all of the kids got to don their costumes yet again to attend my friend Kara's monster Halloween party. It was, of course, complete with adorable decorations, treats, and fun activities. She even made a snake juice potion in a cauldron (with root beer and dry ice).
Friday evening we went to the Hadleigh's School's Halloween Carnival. It was kind of crazy but definitely a fun family night. Scott and I even competed in the pie-eating contest (Scott took 2nd place to another dad, but it was very close).
After the carnival, we came home and carved our pumpkins.
Last night, the kids finally got to do some official Trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. Even Jack went to a few houses.
