amber's birthday:)

On Tuesday, I turned 29 and I had such a FANTASTIC day!!
Scott was scheduled to be at the Police Academy until 10pm, so I was thinking it might be a long, lonely birthday. Instead, Scott planned an entire day filled with fun things for me. I have the most amazing husband and friends ever!

In the morning our family went to the Sweet's Candy Factory in Salt Lake for a tour-- something I have wanted to do forever... you can't really go wrong in a place where you are surrounded by candy and chocolate! Then we went to lunch where Scott & the kids spoiled me with presents and a yummy chocolate cake, complete with candles and singing.

Then, sadly, it was time for Scott to be at the Academy. He arranged for my cousin to take my kids for the rest of the day (THANK YOU MARGARET!) and left me only with the promise that I would be met by someone within half an hour. That someone turned out to be two of my good friends, Kara and Mandy. So for the remainder of my birthday, I got kid-free, girl time. Again, I have an amazing husband and friends!!

First, Scott arranged for us to get pedicures, then the rest of the day, Kara and Mandy said, was at my disposal to do whatever I like. So, naturally, after the pedicures, we went shopping. After shopping we went to Tsunami, one of my favorite sushi places, for dinner where three more of my friends (Katie, Rachel, & Amy) were waiting to surprise me (thank you for coming girls!). Tsunami was followed by Red Mango -the best frozen yogurt ever, and then a movie actually IN a theater!

As usual, I kept forgetting to take pictures throughout the day, but the few I have are below.

Scott, thank you so much for being so thoughtful and for all the planning (and scheming:)) you did to make my birthday SO fun! Kara & Mandy, thank you both for spending an entire day devoted to taking me out on the town:) I had a blast! Thank you to Ben & Spencer too for letting me take your wives away from you and your kids for so long!
