Last weekend was crazy for us, since Sunday was not only Easter but was also Jackson's 3rd birthday. We tried separating the two holidays as much as possible.
On Saturday afternoon, we went to see the movie HOP and then on Saturday night, the kids decorated eggs with a fun kit that my mom sent.
We started out the day Sunday by doing a birthday breakfast for Jackson and letting him open presents first thing in the morning, before anyone got their Easter baskets.
Then we did the baskets right before church (or in this case tupperware containers since we couldn't justify buying more easter baskets when we have more than we'll ever need in storage right now).
After church, we had a special birthday dinner for Jackson and then had cupcakes which were Easter themed.
All in all it was a fun weekend and successful since Jackson kept saying everything was part of his "Easter Party" for his birthday:)
