summer fun

Here's a quick recap of the last month... (:

In early June, our city celebrated its annual 'pony express days' which involved a family fun night, a rodeo, a carnival, a parade, and tons of other fun things. We only made it to the family fun night and one night at the carnival, but we had a good time at both.

Hadleigh's dance school did a performance at the carnival the night we went:)

Also in June, we went to a Salt Lake Bees game (minor league baseball) because we thought Landon would really enjoy it since he's been playing tee-ball this year. I guess nine innings was a little much to expect him to sit through, but he at least enjoyed the huge bag of caramel corn, meeting Bumble (the mascot), and the fireworks after the game. So, all in all we had a good time!
Bumble signed Landon's tee-ball jersey using Landon's head as a hard writing surface :)

My new favorite thing to do this summer is to go to splash parks. We have tried a few of the various ones around town and they are all different but provide free fun for the kids without the added worry of life jacket for the kids or a swimsuit for mom!

We also found this man-made beach that has all the perks of a real beach (sand and cool water) without all the concerns (under-toe, sea life, saltwater) so its another favorite spot for the summer.

At the end of June, some girlfriends and I went on a little getaway to St. George and Las Vegas. Needless to say, we had a great time!

we saw Disney's Tarzan at the Tuacahn Amphitheater- it was awesome!
