Yesterday was Hadleigh's eighth birthday and we had a whole weekend full of excitement!
On Friday night, Hadleigh and a few girlfriends went to this vintage shop/bistro for a tea party. They got all dressed up and had pink lemonade in tea cups and sandwiches on saucers. They looked too adorable and had a fun time.
On Saturday morning, we did our tradition of opening gifts and blowing out a candle on a cinnamon roll. Hadleigh's cousin Caroline spent the night Friday night, so she had extra help getting everything unwrapped:)

Turning eight in Mormon culture is kind of a big deal. Eight is considered the "age of accountability" so children are old enough to choose to be baptized and become members of our church. On the morning of her birthday, Hadleigh was baptized and confirmed by her dad.We are proud of the love that Hadleigh has for her Heavenly Father and for her family and fellow human beings. We are grateful to everyone who was able to be there to share that special experience with us.
In the evening, we went out for a family birthday dinner at Fat Cats in Salt Lake.
Happy Birthday Hadleigh!
We love you and are so proud of the sweet girl that you are.
