Last Friday, on the 1 week anniversary of Jackson's 1st birthday, we finally got the family together and celebrated his big day. We ate dinner, watched Jack open gifts (he was a little better at it than he was on his actual birthday with the gifts from Scott & me), and then had cake. Of course, watching Jack eat his own cake was supposed to be the highlight of the night, but he couldn't have been less interested in it. He loved all the attention he got all night and he was very curious about a whole group of people staring at him after we put a cake in front of him. As for smothering the frosting and cake all over himself and the chair or even eating the cake at all, he wasn't really into it.
It was a fun night nevertheless and Jack seemed to have a good time which is the whole point, right?
