Those of you who have seen Landon lately know that he ALWAYS has Thomas the train or one of his train friends in his hands. It doesn't matter if he's in the bath or in bed or at a restaurant, Landon doesn't go anywhere (in the house or out) without Thomas. It is also next to impossible to convince him to watch anything else on TV or in the car DVD player other than Thomas shows, and if he's not watching Thomas or carrying him from one activity to the next, then he is building train tracks for Thomas and his friends to ride on.
Needless to say, when Scott found out that the "real" Thomas the train was coming to the Heber Railroad in Utah, he knew that buying tickets was not a question of if but when. Since the tickets were kind of pricey (especially when factoring it for a family of 5!), we decided that just Scott and Landon would go.
They went on the Thursday before Memorial weekend and seemed to have a fun day. Scott said that Landon was not jumping up and down with excitement at seeing Thomas like we anticipated, but rather seemed to just be taking it all in. However, Landon has not stopped talking about seeing and riding on the real Thomas ever since he got home that night, and it's all I can do to pry off the Thomas shirt he came home in, just to get it in the wash. Not to mention the trauma he seemed to endure when it was time to remove the remaining bits of ink from the James the train tattoo he came home with. Anyways, here are a few pics from Landon's day with Thomas.
